Hi there. I'm a newbie in Machinima and need a piece of advice. I'm using Vegas and would like to know how to put a piece of an object over another object. For example i've made a movie of a man in Wow Model Viewer and i want to put him behind a stone or hiding behind a column in the film. What should i do? So any tips are welcome. Sorry if any similar topic exists, i still simply can't find any usefull information for that question.
P.S. My english isn't awasome, so please write as simply as possible, thanks. |

This is both a very basic and advanced question. Let's say you have two layers: The background, and above that, the character, all animated the way you want. What you want to do is copy that background and paste the copy above the first two, on a third layer. Next, go into the Event Pan/Crop for that event. In the lower left hand corner, switch to mask mode. Cut out the part of the image you want to have your character go behind. Tweak. Profit. -------------------- |
